The location of the hotel offers a beautiful view of the surrounding scenery, adding to the overall experience. The rooms are spacious and clean, with the sheets and carpet being well-maintained. The management is helpful and provides recommendations for local restaurants. Additionally, the hotel offers a good continental breakfast for guests to enjoy.
The hotel's name was changed without updating the internet site or the answering machine, leading to confusion and wasted time for guests.

This hotel was a great value for the price. The location was perfect for us as it was close to all the Christmas festivities. The room was spacious and we loved having two sinks in the bathroom. But the best part had to be the delicious continental breakfast that was offered each morning for free!
On the negative side, there were some things that could be improved upon. The TV reception wasn't the best and the bathroom was a bit outdated.

They have a really good staff, very attentive and professional.
The pool was dirty, very dirty. There were not enough tables in the breakfast area to accomodate guests. We along with others left and ate breakfast else where. I would recommended the Lodge to others as long as they kept the pool clean and of course extended the breakfast area and served breakfast until atleast 10:30.

I like old fashioned 1970s style hotels as they remind me of my first travels on my own. This hotel reminds me of the Howard Johnson's I stayed in many times from 1978 - 1989. It is definitely not for people seeking all kinds of modern luxuries, but I like having a large room and solid walls - this hotel has it all. Moreover, we have stayed there numerous times as my husband plays music in the area. The owners are very professional people and they now have excellent staff at the front desk. The hotel does need quite a bit of work, but if you want a great pool (indoor) to yourself and a whirlpool in a separate building, you are going to enjoy this.
We booked a suite and got everything we wanted in terms of size and comfort. However, the air conditioning unit began to leak after a few hours (and had many times before) and was located right over the entrance to the room. That was a bit spooky but did not spoil our stay. It needs to be fixed though, as these big accommodations are great otherwise.

Room was clean, smoke free and spacious. It was quiet, there was no road noise. Breakfast was adequate.
The wireless internet did not work. I had called ahead to ask about this and was reassured that it did work. However, when trying to connect there was no connectivity signal, and the message "little or no connectivity" kept popping up when trying to connect. I would not stay here again if there were other comparable options in town where the internet actually worked.

The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the complimentary breakfast was a great addition to our stay. We particularly enjoyed the cinnamon waffles and having the option of two sinks in the bathroom. the location was perfect for us, with easy access to nearby restaurants and shops.
the adjoining room doors were not soundproofed as well as they could have been, causing some noise disturbance from other guests.

The hallways smelled musty and moldy and our room also smelled moldy.

The hotel is run down and needs alot of TLC. However, the staff were super friendly and always helpful, especially Phil who worked the front desk in the morning. The breakfast room was nice - lots of daylight and space. We will return.
Needs alot of TLC. General maintanence including painting and upkeep. Other then that the beds were comfortable and rooms were clean.

The Pagosa Lodge has changed to Quality Inn. There is no address in front - only the Quality Inn temporary sign. If we had not stayed in this location before, it would have been difficult to find. The Lodge is in transition - lot of work going on. Things should improve by our next visit.
